Congratulations to the girl’s XC team for their 2nd place finish at the Dennis Bays Invitational this past Saturday. South Knox scored 1st with 92 points edging the tigers by 13 points. The Team was led by seniors Clare Vogel and Allison Morphew with overall 1st and 2nd place finishes. Clare finished in 19:50.49 and Allison finished in 19:50.95. Yes, can you say CLOSE, a .45 second differential between 1st and 2nd place. AWESOME! The girls 3-5 runners finished within 9 seconds of each other, again, great grouping. A key point to this race was Grace Jung and Olivia Anderson, who were our 6th and 7th runners on the team. They both finished in front of Mt Vernon’s 5th team runner, which allowed the lady tigers to hold on to 2nd place while that moved Mt. Vernon to 3rd place finish with 106 points

The Memorial XC team will travel to Terre Haute September 7 to race at the St. Preview meet run on the state finals course.
