On a night that started out with great weather, the rain and lightning came. This resulted in about a two hour delay for the boys sectional track and field meet last night at Central. However, this did not disrupt the focus the tigers had before the break. They stayed relaxed and when the announcement was made to warm-up, the team was ready to finish what they started prior to the break, a chance to win a sectional championship. As it went, the tigers did finish what they started some six hours earlier.
Congratulation to the Memorial Boys Track and Field Team for winning the schools THIRD Track and Field Sectional Championship. This great team success came as we set several monster PR’s and ONE NEW SCHOOL RECORD. Once again, led by our SENIORS, the TIGERS brought in 8 first place finishes out of 16 events. With TEN events automatically advancing to the regional and several possible at large advancements, we will see if we have enough to bring home Memorials first track and field regional championship. Regional Meet will be May 24 at Central, Stay Tuned!
