Evansville, IN – Reitz Memorial High School senior, Morgan Carr, will sign a NJCAA National Letter of Intent to play softball for Frontier Community College on Monday, November 23rd at Reitz Memorial High School.
Morgan has played softball since she was 4 years old and always loved being part of a team. Since her sophomore year, Morgan has played varsity softball as a pitcher and first baseman. At the end of her sophomore season, Morgan pitched 8 games since her sister got injured. She pitched 5 completed games, averaging 85 pitches a game. Throwing 61% strikes and throwing 18 strikeouts. She hit 2 homeruns that season, one of them being in the same game as her sister. Morgan was voted MVP and Best Mental Attitude by her team that season.
Thanks to the help of Coach Lutz, the Memorial coaching staff, and all her travel coaches throughout the years, Morgan is able to play softball at the next level where she will not only be challenged athletically, but also academically and mentally. She is excited to continue at Frontier because she already feels so welcome by the coaching staff and future teammates.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions at the institutional level, visitors for the signing will be restricted.
