Elizabeth Broshears, Reitz Memorial High School class of 2020, has committed to swim the next four years for Indiana University’s Division I Women’s swim team.
At Memorial, Elizabeth has three Varsity letters with the swim team and is looking forward to another great season with the tigers. Elizabeth currently holds five individual school records, three school relay records, multiple city and SIAC records, and two sectional records. She is a 9-time Sectional Champion and three year State finalist. Elizabeth has had seven top-eight finishes at the IHSAA State Championship, including a second place finish sophomore year in the 50 freestyle. Freshman and Sophomore year, Elizabeth was recognized as NISCA All American, and Sophomore and Junior year Elizabeth achieved Scholastic All American status. Outside of Memorial, Elizabeth swims at the national level with her club team the Boonville Dolphins. While on this team, Elizabeth has amassed numerous state titles, as well as competed in meets up to the Junior National level. This winter she is looking forward to swimming at the US Open, her first senior national meet.
Elizabeth will be studying Pre-Med at Indiana University and is excited to work with Ray Looze, Jonty Skinner, and the rest of the Indiana Swimming coaching staff and team.
Elizabeth will sign her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 20 at 3:00 PM on the first floor of Reitz Memorial High School (outside of cafeteria). Indiana University is located in Bloomington, IN and is a member of the BIG 10 conference.
