Game Recap

Tigers and Evansville Central played a taut affair on Saturday, but Tigers eventually prevailed 6-4 after taking the lead for good in the seventh inning.
Tigers knotted the game up at four in the top of the sixth inning when Breanna Scheberle drove in one run when she singled. The game was still tied at four with Tigers batting in the top of the seventh when Arionea Garrett hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
Tigers had 12 hits in the game. Jillson, Cater, Porter, and Beurman each managed two hits to lead Tigers. Tigers didn’t commit a single error in the field.
Lily Beurman earned the win for Tigers. She pitched seven innings, surrendering four runs, nine hits, striking out nine, and walking one. Tigers won the Central Invitational for the 2nd year in a row!! Go Tigers!
