Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Memorial’s Bonano named to High School All-American Game

The Memorial High School Boys Soccer Program is pleased to announce that SAM BONANO, Senior, Forward, has been named to compete in the 6th Annual Boys High School Soccer All-American Game on December 3rd in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Forty (40) Seniors have been chosen from twenty (20) different states to compete in this year’s Boys High School All-American game.  Bonano has been chosen to compete on the West Team.  Complete listing of the East and West All-American Teams available at

Bonano was a 3 year member of the Varsity team at Memorial and was part of 3 Sectional titles, 2 Regional titles, 1 Semi-State title and 1 State Championship.  He tallied 31 goals and had 25 assists this past season as the Tigers won the IHSAA 2A State Championship this past weekend.  He was named as an All-State selection by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association (ISCA) in 2015 as well as All-City and All-Conference in 2015 and 2016.  He finished his high school career at 11th on the Memorial Career Scoring list with 51 goals and 34 assists in 53 games.

Bonano becomes the 4th Memorial player to be named to the Boys High School All-American Game. He joins Michael Vieth (2012 in Birmingham, AL), Michael Riedford (2013 in Philadelphia, PA) and Jack Vieth (2014 in Raleigh, NC) in representing the Tigers in the High School All-American Game.
